JAN 28: Daily Recap

IZWM at a glance: Here’s what happened today!

Reuse Station – Gian hàng Tái sử dụng

In response to the International Zero Waste Month, we are planning to organize a communication event to bring local residents’ attention to “reuse” as an effective solution for waste reduction, particularly plastic waste in the environment. The event will last for three weeks, aiming to engage the interest of friends on the Facebook pages of project team members, the CAB fan page and local residents around the “Reuse Station” venue.

The project will encompass various activities, such as posting communications highlighting the harmful effects of using Single-Use Plastics (SUP) and encouraging local residents to donate used items to those in need instead of discarding them in landfills. Additionally, we will collect recyclable materials in exchange for refillable detergent to encourage the refill habit as well as support the local waste pickers to buy recycled items. On the main day of this exchange activity, we will not only directly communicate about reuse but also interview some voluntary participants to share their thoughts about SUP and Reuse, which will be posted on Facebook afterward for social communication.
